Open water diver Course
This globally recognized certification program is your passport to begin your lifelong adventures as a certified scuba diver. This training course is combined with theory and in-water practice sessions to ensure you have the skills and experience required to become truly comfortable underwater. You will earn the SSI Open water diver certification upon completion and you are able to dive up to maximum depth of 18m.
Course schedule:
- After registration is confirmed, an SSI account will be created for you and you are requested to complete Theory E-learning.
- Day 1 of in-water training session: Practice in confined water – swimming pool in Nha Trang/ Phu Quoc. Your Instructor will teach you how to use your Scuba gear and all the necessary skills in a controlled environment.
- Day 2&3 of in-water training session: Practice in open water - ocean. During the open water training dives, you will review and apply your knowledge as well as repeat the skills in a real-world environment under the supervision of your Instructor: proper descent and ascent, buoyancy control and incident handling underwater.
Minimum age for enrollment: 10
For ages from 10 to 15 years old, the Junior Open water diver certification program replicates adult program in terms of schedule and duration, limiting the maximum depth for junior divers at the beginner level of 12m.
Diving season:
- Nha Trang: from March to October
- Phu Quoc: from November to February
Course fee:
Nha Trang: VND 7.800.000/ course/ 3 days/ 4 dives
Phu Quoc: VND 9.500.000/ course/ 3 days/ 4 dives
Fee includes:
- Theory (in English)
- Full SCUBA gear during the entire course
